We both grew up together in the same neighborhood. I went to Louis and he went to Owass. After SHS, I was fortunate to gain admission to KNUST, but he was not offered admission at all. The following year, he re-applied, and again he was refused admission. Out of frustration and desperation he started drinking alcohol and joined a gang of bad boys in the hood.
He wanted to be a medical Doctor, but today, he can see his colleagues riding on the path he never had the chance to tread on.    

The blame game has begun in his own home. He is accusing his parents of not sending him abroad to study his dream course.Anger is eventually building up to revulsion and soon, he will move to the streets and raid guiltless you and I in a day of all our hard earned property.
This person I'm talking about is Kweku, my childhood friend.

'I'm not going out with Tayo ', Irene clears the air.

The pretty, dynamic and hardworking incumbent secretary for the Actuarial Science Students Association(ASSA), Irene told campus diaries in a chit-chat that she was not dating Tayo as rumor had it. About a week ago, it was reported on Knust-Rumor Crib(a facebook group page) that Tayo, an SRC President aspirant and Business School President was dating four girls simultaneously of which Irene's name was mentioned to be part.

 Denying the charges, she said, 'Tayo is my friend from Brunei. Both of us are into Politics and do not have time for a relationship now.'   Irene denied ever dating or any intents on dating Tayo.

Irene also told Campus Diaries she had intentions to contest for the Scisca Secretary.

 'I did my duties as the ASSA secretary very well, by disseminating information to students about meetings as well as taking minutes at meetings which are the main duties of a secretary. As a result, ASSA has recorded one of the highest association meetings ever. I chanced on one meeting held by Biossa and I realized just about 20 people were at the meeting. I wondered whether it was because of there was no item 13, but shockingly that wasn't the case. Communication is very vital in the success of every meeting.'

 Irene Ama Larbi, born on the 15th June,is an Akora (Achimota old student), offering Bsc. Actuarial Science.The youngish lady is not only well turned-out, easy going and approachable, but very articulate as well.

      Akataslopsa remains the bone of contention amongst its circles and contemporaries(Mobageyhey, Pregiss, Amanadehye3..) because of the unity forged right from the senior high school to the University even leading to marriage.

Shakespeare said 'the course of true love never did run smooth' and indeed the journey of the Akataslopsa has not come this far without squabbles that almost led to break-ups.It was then, that the Akatakyie decided to chase the St.Monica girls (AKATAMUNCHE) while the Amanfo) also pursued the St. Louis girls (AMANSLOPSA).

 The tittle-tattle going about is that the former school prefect of Louis now in KNUST is allegedly having trysts with the then school prefect of Owass also in KNUST. The two,.were caught hopping out of a ride during one Akataslopsa homecoming held in Louis some years back.
 Well, I don’t know the truth of the matter, but all I can vouch for is that Akataslopsa has been and will always remain the BIG FAMILY!
