Love Unprecedented

On this land you brought me forth and brewed me in the pot of love.
I knew it was going to be tough walking on the rough dusty road that made me cough.
In  your arms  you cuddled me till I fell asleep
And at your back
You strapped me through the dark.
You took me to school on a cool blue day.
And today I write because you taught me to recite poems
You perceived and believed  I would achieve some greatness someday
I could see the passion in your eyes when you looked old-fashioned
Just to take me to school.
My friends mocked me and I walked alone home
because I wore tattered  uniforms and wide-opened sandals to school,
But you could not do any better.
You put my needs first.
You were the oasis of hope and love

At night when I slept, you were awake just to peep and keep me safe
I cannot forget when I fell so sick even to the point of death
You looked in my eyes and said 'NO, baby You aint gon die'
You prayed and prayed to our father in Heaven
And He did as always hear as and unloaded our burden

Your magic words, 'YES YOU CAN, I BELIEVE IN YOU' has made me who I am today
Mama, 'More is thy due than more than all can pay' (Shakespeare)

And as the years fled by, you gave me hope that tomorrow, I will not borrow.

I will always Love you.

Dedicated to my mother and sister ( both mothers) and I pray God sees you through the pains and joys of Motherhood
