CONTINUING STUDENTS ARE NOT VOTING!

It is 12:00 NOON and the hostels are full of students who are either sleeping, watching movies or learning. They said they would simply not vote because of what PAUL ATIEMO

Speaker of Parliament and Student activist of the year described as 'tyrannically postponing’ the SRC elections on two separate occasions and without prior notification to students.

This year's SRC elections has been worth following, listening to tongues of stories said about people, the propaganda and Paul Atiemo's activism with his oratory speeches, the battle finally comes to a close today.

KNUST goes to Polls Today
At a point,I asked a friend, 'Why  are Politicians were fond of hurling insults and spreading propaganda against their opponents', and he replied 'All is fair in love and war'.
My question today is, Does the best Candidate ever win?

Over the years, some Politicians who thought they were going to sit on the most enviable seat only woke up to realize it was a nine day wonder.
The hypothesis question as to whether the people's choice in this year's election  is going to be based on freshness is totally flawed by the fact that all aspirants are equally fresh even though some are slightly fresher than others that reminds of George Orwell's saying in the Animal Farm

"ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL, BUT SOME ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS"

Efo and the filla crew (panelists on a student's program on focus fm) advice students to vote this time based on Policies.
But how will this work, when it is alleged some students are planning to rig massively. Paul Atiemo's request to remove the EC who had been charged for corruption, disrespect for the electorate after he had postponed the elections twice(from 5th to 9th April) without prior notice and tangible reasons given among other charges have been Overruled.
Well, 'all is fair in love and war', my friend said.
This years election has been an interesting time with the splendid performances of the candidates during the vetting(23rd March), class to class and room to room campaign even though slightly interrupted by the Easter break their campaign on Focus FM(1st April), the manifesto reading also Focus FM(7th April), the April FOOL voting dates by the EC, The goat stories, juju saga, signature forgery scandal, rigging stories and stealing of banners have made this election a  daunting and attention-grabbing task.

                 Who finally wears the crown?
Undoubtedly, the final  determiners lies are the FIRST YEAR STUDENTS.
